About This Piece

14-karat Gold Ladies' Claddagh Engagement Ring With 1.44cts Heartshaped Ruby Centerpiece And Loyalty Crown Set With Twin Brilliant Cut Diamonds

Wear this breathtaking ring and carry with you the world’s most iconic symbol of wild romance,  loyalty, and everlasting friendship, everywhere you go.

The 300-year-old Irish design, emblematic of undying love, has never looked so opulent, magical, and effortlessly attractive

A stunning 1.44cts, deep red, heart-shaped ruby forms the main Claddagh centerpiece, while the white gold crown is set with twin 0.035cts brilliant cut diamonds making a combined weight of 0.07 carats.

The gold content has been hallmarked to 14-karat purity in the historic Dublin Assay Office on the grounds of Dublin Castle, Ireland.

Undying Love, Endless Loyalty, and True Friendship

More than 300 years ago, master goldsmith and innovative jeweler Richard Joyce was freed from servitude in North Africa after his kidnap by Barbary pirates en route to the British West Indies.

During his 14 years of captivity, the young Irishman was apprenticed to a master goldsmith and slowly conceived the iconic Claddagh design that was destined to become the world’s most recognizable symbol of everlasting romance

Upon his return to the village of Claddagh on the shores of Galway Bay, he created the first rings of the same name and presented the hauntingly beautiful design to his childhood sweetheart and future wife.

He chose the heart as the symbol of undying love, the crown to represent loyalty, and the supporting hands as the deep friendship that underpins all great love stories.
