About This Piece

Twin Emerald Heart Stones Beat As One In This Traditional Irish Claddagh 0.06cts Diamond Ring Handcrafted In Polished 14-karat White Gold
Win her heart with a ring that speaks the language of love in the 300-year-old tradition of Claddagh romance. Heritage green joins timeless white gold and exquisite white diamond in this select jewelry item authentically handcrafted in Ireland.

The twin heart emerald centerpiece weighs a combined 0.35 carats, and the six brilliant-cut diamonds set into the Claddagh friendship hands and loyalty crown weigh a combined 0.06 carats.  If traditional yellow gold is your preferred choice, you can opt for this magical Irish Claddagh Ring in 14-karat yellow gold.

True Love Soulmates Defy and Overcome Unimaginable Adversity

The creator of the Claddagh ring, Richard Joyce, set out in 1675 to make his fortune in the faraway British West Indies. The vessel was not far out to sea when a Barbary pirate ship intercepted them, and everyone on board, including Richard, was sold into slavery.

He spent the next 14 years working as a goldsmith and jeweler for his new owner, gradually perfecting his art while always dreaming of one day seeing Ireland again. In 1689, his dream became reality. Despite the offer of wealth and marriage into his former master's family, he was determined to make the long journey back home to his beloved Atlantic shores and to the sweetheart he left behind.

He created the original Claddagh ring for his long-lost lover and future wife, with the heart to  represent their love, the hands their undying friendship, and the crown the steadfast loyalty that overcame immeasurable odds to bring them safely home together once more.
